Where it stops being free is volume. Once you're a few sessions in and want daily access, ongoing use runs on a credit system. Adventurer is $19.99/month for 500 credits, and Champion is $49.99/month for 1,750 credits if you're chatting or voice calling most days. Unused credits roll over up to your monthly allotment, so a quiet week doesn't waste what you already paid for.
